Chasing Shadows: Kosmos Team Witnesses a Total Solar Eclipse

Thereare a few yearly celestial events that offer us a glimpse into the universe.Among these, a total solar eclipse stands as one of the most remarkableexperiences. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth andthe Sun, blocking out sun. This event is a rarity, as the Moon's orbit aroundEarth is not perfectly circular, making the occurrence of a total solar eclipseinfrequent for any given location on Earth.

Membersfrom the Kosmos team made sure to see this event! To witness the total solareclipse, the Kosmos Team traveled to a few hours South of the resort to NewMexico, chosen for its clear skies, minimal light pollution, as one of the bestgeographical locations to view the Eclipse. This spot was within the eclipse'spath where the team was able experience several minutes of complete darkness inthe middle of the day with special viewing glasses.

Thefirst noticeable change is the dimming of the natural daylight. Next, as theMoon moves in front of the Sun, the temperature begins to drop. It's often morenoticeable than expected, adding to the eerie excitement of the event. Finally, when the Moon completely covers the Sun, the moment of totality arrives. In aninstant, the sky darkens dramatically while the Sun's corona becomes visiblewith a slight ring around the outer edges.

Atotal solar eclipse has a way of uniting people from all walks of life. Itreminds us that we are all part of this incredible universe. At Kosmos Resort,we prioritize connection between people and wonderful cosmic events like thisone, inspiring us all to look up at the sky and embrace the connection andmysteries it holds.
