Colorado's first DarkSky Approved Lodging property, Kosmos is a 100% off-grid stargazing retreat built across a 40-acre parcel using sustainable hemplime and geodesic domes, adjacent to 700 acres of protected conservation land. What began as a 2020 concept welcomed its first guests in 2025, and we have been expanding the Kosmos experience ever since. Here, high-end telescopes, concierge-level service, and disconnecting from daily life come together to help you reconnect with the people who matter most under some of the darkest skies in the country.

Today Kosmos is in Phase 1 — Open Now: three private Stargazing Villas welcome guests under a Bortle Class 2 sky, with a fourth villa and our Welcome & Astro Lounge under construction, followed by the first two Kosmos Suites. This is not a short-term rental. Guests enjoy astronomer-guided sky tours, food service, in-villa massages, and a dedicated staff member reachable by call or text at any hour. Phase 2 — What We're Building Next brings the Galaxy Villa, an eight-suite building, the Stargazing Park, an event space, and a limited spa and gym, the stage at which Kosmos operates as a full resort. Phase 3 — The Full Vision adds the 1-meter research telescope and the Stargazing Center with its planetarium, establishing Kosmos as an international astrotourism destination.
