The cancellation list
We only have three villas, so most good dates go early. Join the list and you hear first when a stay is released — and if the cancelled night falls inside the next seven days, it goes out at 15% off, first come, first served.

The atmosphere is very peaceful. The villa, with its dome and skylight, was an inspiring place to spend time… We enjoyed the hot tub, stargazing with the telescope provided. I will definitely go back!
Even though the resort is in Phase 1 of development and operating completely 100% off-grid, it felt like a total luxury escape… What we loved most was the spectacular openness, absolute privacy, beautiful dark skies, and the gorgeous villas themselves.
This is a stargazer's dream! The houses were built with a very thoughtful design that made me think I was staying on another planet… Seeing the night sky without any light pollution is not something that I'd ever experienced.
The sky
Kosmos sits under some of the darkest skies in the U.S. In April 2026 it became Colorado's first DarkSky Approved Lodging property — a certification for how the whole property is lit, so the sky stays dark for everyone under it.

The Kosmos experience
You arrive in daylight. Everything after that is built around the sky — including the buildings.
Check in, lose the road behind you, and watch the Sangre de Cristos turn gold from your villa.
Every villa has its own telescope. Set it up outside before the last light goes.
An astronomer walks you through what is overhead — planets, nebulae, and in season the core of the Milky Way.
Soak in the private indoor jacuzzi, then fall asleep inside the dome with the sky still overhead.

Getting here
Kosmos is in the San Luis Valley — 18 minutes from the entrance of Great Sand Dunes National Park and 25 minutes from Alamosa. Wild mustangs roam the valley beneath the snowcapped Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and the nearest town lights are far enough away to keep the sky dark.
